Brilliant animated film about Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach – will it help us get the heroine’s name back into Czech textbooks?

The special INTO covid grant helped us produce a short animated film about the famous Austrian writer of Czech origin, Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach. Apart from restoring her monument in Zdislavice, we are also hoping to reinstate her into Czech literature, where she undoubtedly belongs.

The film is a creation of the international award-winning Czech animation filmmaker Dora Martinkova, who lives in London. She specializes in working with children on issues dealing with heritage, monuments, historic personalities and legends and also causes near to her heart like pollution and the environment.
